She said she could not believe the news, so she asked again to be sure
In an interview, Neena told – I have received this news some time ago. I was surprised to know about this. Then I stopped for a while and asked the manager to cross check this news again, so that I can be sure.
After that I became very happy and emotional with this news. I am very curious about this. I was also very happy to know about the other winners.
Neena further says – Neeta further said – I would like to dedicate this award to myself because I have worked very hard. This is the result of my hard work. It shows my journey and how far I have come. At some point results come and this award is proof of that. This honour shows that my hard work has been noticed. I believe if you keep doing it, you will get the reward at some point.
The last time I received two National Film Awards was in the 90s for my documentary. Now after almost 30 years I have received the award again, which is a big thing for me.
