New Delhi: Winter session of Parliament is going to start from today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media before the session started. He said, ‘This is the last session of 2019 and a very important session. This is the 250th session of the Rajya Sabha. 26 November is Constitution Day. The constitution incorporates the unity, integrity and beauty of the country.
Modi said, ‘Recently I got a chance to meet the leaders of all parties. The last session was full of unprecedented achievements, these achievements belongs to the entire House. All MPs are entitled to this. This session will accelerate the development of the country.
He said, ‘I thank all the MPs for the positive active role and hope that this session too will help in speeding up the country’s development journey, in speeding up the country and getting in touch with the fast-moving world. We should also show the strength in our Parliament.
Congress leader in Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said that we will keep all the issues in the House and discuss them. He said that we will also raise the issue of Farooq Abdullah MP from Jammu and Kashmir attending the session.
Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said that we expect the Prime Minister that he and the ruling party will allow the House to discuss issues related to the public. Parliament only means that there should be discussion and debate.
He said that it is up to the government to allow the house to run properly and that the opposition should be heard. This is the basic spirit of parliamentary democracy
