Mitchell is reported to have graduated from Homebush High School for Boys in Sydney. He loved cricket from an early age, and hard work helped him to become one of the most important players in the world.
CAREER
Mitchell Starc’s career experience has been both thrilling and rewarding. He made his international debut against India in an ODI in 2010, however, he had previously played for the NSW squad for two years (and still plays).
Mitchell had a spectacular start: he was named the best wicketkeeper in the T20 Champions Trophy in 2012, and he was named the best player in the New South Wales competition at the One Day Cup in 2015. (in the same year he became the number 1 bowler in the world in ODI versions).
Mitchell Starc set a record in 2016 when he became the quickest bowler in history, taking 100 ODI wickets.
Starc was picked as a late substitute on Australia’s tour of India in late 2010, replacing the injured Alex Napier, due to his excellent achievements in the 2010 winter. On this tour, Starc made his international debut in One Day International (ODI) against India on October 20, 2010.
During the 2011/12 season, Starc was considered for a Test debut. In November, he claimed two five-wicket hauls against Queensland, first in a Sheffield Shield match and then in a one-day encounter. Despite New South Wales losing both matches, Starc was chosen player of the match in the one-day match for his bowling performance as well as his excellent hitting late in New South Wales’ batting innings. Starc made his Test debut for Australia on December 1, 2011, in the opening of a two-match series against New Zealand.
