Manushi Chhillar is an Indian actress and model. She was the winner of the ‘Miss World 2017’ pageant. With this, she became the sixth representative from India to be crowned ‘Miss World’. Before representing India on the international stage, she had represented her state Harayana at the ‘Femina Miss India 2017’ pageant and won the competition.

Chhillar was born in Rohtak. She is from a Haryanvi family. Her father, Dr Mitra Basu Chhillar, is a physician. He is also a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) scientist. Her mother, Dr Neelam Chhillar, is a doctor and departmental head of neurochemistry at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences. She did her studies at St. Thomas’ School, New Delhi. She was the all-India CBSE topper in English subject in class 12. She also qualified for NEET on her first attempt. She completed her medical degree (MBBS) from the Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat.

CAREER OF MANUSHI CHHILLAR

Chhillar started with pageantry in December 2016 with Fashion Big Bazaar-sponsored Campus Princess 2016. There, she was crowned as one of the ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES finalists. This pageantry was conducted by the Miss India Organization. After that, she won the Femina Miss India Haryana title in April 2017. Chhillar represented the state of Haryana in the annual Femina Miss India contest, which she won. In 2017, she won the ‘Miss World 2017’ pageant. She was the sixth representative from India to win this title. She made her Bollywood debut with the movie ‘Samrat Prithviraj opposite Akshay Kumar. She played the role of the princess of Kannauj, Sanyogita, Prithviraj’s wife.
