Moving away from the high-octane theatrics usually associated with legal dramas, the upcoming film ‘Kissa Court Kachahri Ka’ is preparing for a wide theatrical release on March 13, 2026. Distributed in association with Panorama Studios International Ltd., the movie will debut across 300 cinema houses, offering audiences a grounded and gritty look at the Indian judicial machinery.
“Our goal was to create a new reference point for the genre,” says Jaiswal, who has already transitioned into his next venture titled ‘DNA’. “We wanted the camera to be a silent observer of the whispered fears and the mountains of paperwork that define the search for justice.”
Producer Arun Kumar emphasized that the casting was intentional—avoiding “superstars” in favor of actors who look like the very people one might encounter in a crowded courthouse corridor. This aesthetic is bolstered by the cinematography of Dharmendra Biswas and the evocative musical score by Pravesh Mallick.
Veteran actor Rajesh Sharma noted that the script’s power lies in its “stillness,” highlighting the heavy emotional burden carried by the common man. Brijendra Kala added that the film successfully unmasks the “human face” of a system that is frequently misunderstood or ignored by mainstream media.
Produced by Lovely Films Pvt. Ltd., this project seeks to redefine the “courtroom drama” by focusing on the quiet, often exhausting reality of the legal process. To maintain a high level of visual and atmospheric integrity, Director Rajnish Jaiswal chose to film the majority of the project on location in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
While Meerut served as the primary backdrop, the production also utilized several other key locations to capture the authentic hustle of the justice system. Interestingly, Jaiswal integrated the local community into the heart of the film; the crew was largely comprised of Meerut locals who contributed to everything from art direction to technical production.
The film’s soul is driven by a cast of seasoned performers known for their ability to portray everyday individuals with profound depth. The ensemble cast includes Rajesh Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Neelu Kaur Kohli, Sushil Parasar, Chandrabhan Parasar, Anju Jadhav, Lokesh Tilakdhari, Krishna Singh Bisht, Avanaya Kumari and Nandini Singh Rajput.
‘Kissa Court Kachahri Ka’ arrives in theaters on March 13, promising a cinematic experience that is as silent as it is powerful.
