Storyline – A film titled “Kites Grounded” (Hun Ki Tera Zor Ni Gudiye in Punjabi) tells the story of an elderly kite maker. Kareem is a reserved individual who avoids confrontation at all costs yet is deeply devoted to the art he practises. He has spent his entire life creating kites and has perfected the skill, but now he is being pressured to give up his profession so that he can keep up with the demands of time.
His home is stuffed with kites that are easily valuable enough to solve all of his issues and provide for him during the entire year, but since the kite-flying celebration known as Basant has been made illegal, no one is interested in purchasing the kites anymore. A moving tale about a kitemaker that takes place in the walled city of Lahore.
