Jasprit Jasbir Singh Bumrah is a cricket player. He plays for the Indian national team in all three formats. Jasprit had taken 5 wickets while playing a test match in South Africa, Australia & England. He is the first Asian player to do so. He had also made a record of scoring 35 runs in a single over in a test match.
Early Life of Bumrah
Bumrah was born on December 6, 1993. He hails from a Punjabi family. Jasbir Singh, Jasprit’s father died when he was just five years old. His mother, Daljit who was a school teacher took care of him. Jasprit had done his schooling at Nirman High School. Jasprit’s childhood was not easy as his father was not there to take care of the family. Although even after all the hurdles he never let his attention be diverted from cricket.
The Career of Bumrah
Jasprit is a right-hand baller. He started playing T20 matches in the 2012-13 season in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He started playing first class in 2013. His debut match was against the team Vidarbha. He played a major role in the tournament and Gujarat walked out with a trophy.
He gained a lot of popularity just after his debut in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He finished that match by taking three wickets at the cost of only 32 runs.
International Career
Jasprit became the player with the greatest number of T20I wickets in 1 calendar year. He took 28 wickets in that calendar year. In his second T20I series he took 2 wickets at the cost of just 20 runs. He had also taken 20 wickets against the Sri Lanka team. He had always been one of the best ballers with a unique balling style.Â
