In Jammu and Kashmir, police arrested an accomplice of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JEM) terrorist with grenades and cash on Monday in Kupwara. The aim was to buy weapons from this cash.
Official sources said, a check post was set up at Drgamullah in Kupwara after receiving intelligence inputs. The police stopped a person at the checkpoint for investigation. During the investigation, they found grenades and a cash of 3.5 lakh rupees from him.
He said, the accused has been identified as Sahil Mushtaq and came to purchase arms from Sopore. The police has registered a case against him. More people may be arrested in the coming days.
