2024 has been a remarkable year for Indian cinema, with several films making their mark at the global box office. Here’s a detailed look at the highest-grossing films that dominated the year:

1. Pushpa 2: The Rule

Topping the charts, Pushpa 2: The Rule from Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings became a cinematic phenomenon. Directed by Sukumar, this Telugu action drama captivated audiences worldwide, amassing a staggering ₹1509 crore. The film’s gripping storyline and Allu Arjun’s charismatic performance solidified its place in Indian cinema history.

2. Kalki 2898 AD

Sci-fi enthusiasts flocked to theaters for Kalki 2898 AD, produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. The futuristic narrative, coupled with stunning visuals and a stellar cast, contributed to its massive success, grossing between ₹1100 and ₹1200 crore. Annapurna Studios handled its distribution, ensuring the film reached global audiences.

3. Stree 2

The sequel to the beloved horror-comedy Stree, this Hindi film from Maddock Films and Jio Studios delivered laughter and scares in equal measure. Distributed by PVR Inox Pictures and Pen Marudhar Entertainment, Stree 2 earned an impressive ₹874.58 crore, reaffirming the franchise’s popularity.

4. The Greatest of All Time

Tamil cinema saw a major hit in The Greatest of All Time, produced by AGS Entertainment and Romeo Pictures. This action-packed drama resonated with audiences, earning between ₹440 and ₹456 crore worldwide. The film’s engaging plot and stellar performances were key highlights.

5. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

Horror-comedy fans were thrilled with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios, the film’s mix of humor and suspense drew audiences in droves, resulting in a worldwide gross of ₹417.51 crore. Its captivating storytelling kept viewers entertained throughout.

6. Singham Again

Rohit Shetty returned with another blockbuster, Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn. Co-produced by Reliance Entertainment and Jio Studios, this action-packed Hindi film grossed ₹389.64 crore globally. The film’s high-octane stunts and gripping narrative made it a must-watch.

7. Devara: Part 1

The first installment of Devara, a Telugu action-drama, made waves at the box office. Produced by N.T.R. Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, it garnered between ₹380 and ₹521 crore. The film’s emotional depth and spectacular visuals earned it widespread acclaim.

8. Fighter

Bollywood’s high-flying action-thriller Fighter brought audiences to theaters in droves. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, this Hindi film achieved a worldwide gross of ₹344.46 crore. Its adrenaline-pumping sequences and star-studded cast made it a major success.

9. Amaran

Kamal Haasan’s Amaran became a landmark in Tamil cinema, grossing ₹320 crore globally. Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and distributed by Sony Pictures Films India, this film’s intriguing storyline and powerful performances drew widespread praise.

10. Hanu-Man

Closing the list is the Telugu superhero film Hanu-Man, produced by Primeshow Entertainment. With global earnings between ₹301 and ₹350 crore, it marked a new era for Indian superhero films. Mythri Movie Makers ensured its wide release and appeal.
