A female doctor was brutally murdered in Kolkata’s RG Medical College and Hospital, ever since this matter has come to light, everyone is filled with anger, people are protesting on the streets for justice, including doctors and due to this the hospital facilities are being affected badly. Many Bollywood celebs have reacted to this, Kareena Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Parineeti Chopra, Randeep Hooda and now Mithun and Shatrughan Sinha have also given a very serious reaction to this.
West Bengal BJP has shared a video of actor Mithun Chakraborty. In this, Mithun said- I have said this many times, at many places that the situation in West Bengal will worsen in the coming times. Today, being a Bengali, I do not have the courage to stand with my head held high. I sympathize with the victim’s family. I would like to tell the government that whoever is involved in this incident should be given severe punishment.
At the same time, Shatrughan Sinha also expressed anger on this matter and said, Putting forth his views to PTI on the doctor’s demands/conditions on the heinous incident at RG Kar Medical College yours truly @Shatrughan Sinha said that doctors coming out on the streets is not the most desirable thing. With highest regard for the doctors’ profession, their demands are justified. Govt & society must take care of that. But one humble request to the doctors coming out on the streets, this may harm the poor, needy people who need immediate care & may suffer. You may find it an enlightening watch!
On 9 August, a trainee doctor was raped and murdered at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. After this, the doctors protested and doctors across the country went on strike. On 14 August, late at night, a mob entered the same hospital and vandalized it.
