Presently BSNL has about 1.80 lakh employees. Explain that BSNL had a loss of Rs 7,992 crore in FY 2017-18. Earlier, the company had a loss of Rs 4,786 crore in 2016-17. Accordingly, there is a loss of Rs 3,206 crore in just 1 year.
BSNL spokesman Sanjay Sinha said that the company has paid the salary for the month of September to all its employees. MTNL plans to pay the salary of the month of August on 24 October.
