‘Bhuto’ Purbo Storyline

Set in the late 1960s, this story weaves together three terrifying tales inspired by Tagore’s Monihara, Bibhutibhushan’s Taranath Tantrik, and Manoj Sen’s Shikaar.

On a stormy evening, two strangers arrive at Bibhutibhushan’s old ancestral house. It is raining heavily outside and inside they share three terrifying stories full of mysteries – first, of the spirit of a selfish woman who is trapped by her jewellery; second of a Tantrik who is struggling between supernatural powers and inner peace; and third, of a conman whose surreal plot pushes him down a dark path.

As the night passes and the morning light approaches, a deep and shocking truth is revealed to the two men – a secret that changes the course of their lives forever.
