Early Interest and First Achievement
Amrit’s first step into the spotlight came in 2018 when she participated in Mr. and Miss Buxar and became the runner-up. This experience gave her confidence and made her realize that she could pursue something in the performing field.
However, even after that, acting was not fully supported around her, and she herself was unsure whether to continue in this field or not.
College and Theatre Experience
For higher studies, Amrit moved to Delhi and took admission in BCA. During her college life, she came across a theatre group named “Paigam.” Watching their performances reignited her interest in acting.
Eventually, she decided to join the theatre group to learn and explore her passion. She worked in plays for about a year, which helped her understand acting more practically and build confidence on stage.
First Digital Break
During this time, through her brother’s friend, she got to know about a Facebook-based content platform called Digital Kalakaar. She auditioned for it and got selected.
This became her first major opportunity. She worked with Digital Kalakaar for around two years, gaining experience and improving her performance skills.
Work on Other Platforms
After her work with Digital Kalakaar, Amrit started getting opportunities on other platforms as well. She worked in micro dramas on platforms like Vahaflix and Viral.
She also got a chance to work in an advertisement for the Stage App. These projects helped her move forward in her acting career and gain wider exposure.
Challenges and Support
Amrit openly shares that her journey was not easy. It required consistent effort, patience, and self-belief. In the beginning, she did not receive much external support, but her parents and brother stood by her throughout.
According to her, having family support makes a big difference when someone is trying to achieve something in life.
At present, Amrit Kaur is continuing her work as an actor and exploring new opportunities. She aims to grow further in the industry and take on more diverse roles in the future.
