About – (Rasika Dugal) Later that year, she appeared in a brief role in the Zoya Akhtar part of the Netflix anthology film Lust Stories. Then she was in Manto, Nandita Das’s film based on her life (2018). Rasika portrayed Safia, the playwright’s real-life wife, in a film based on his life. The Screen Actors Guild nominated her for the first time in the category of Best Supporting Actress for her outstanding performance.
She then starred alongside Vikas Kumar and Talha Arshad Reshi in Aijaz Khan’s critically praised 2018 film Hamid. Rasika Dugal won the Best Actor Award for her performance in Hamid at the Rajasthan International Film Festival, and the film was recognised as the Best Feature Film in Urdu at the 66th National Film Awards.
