Abhijeet Banerjee did his studies from South Point School and Presidency College, Kolkata. He obtained an Economics degree from Presidency College. After this, he moved to Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi in 1983 and did his masters from there. After this he went to Howard University for doing his PhD.
