WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, “Last week I said that I was forming an emergency committee under international health protocols to respond to the outbreak of monkey pox in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other African countries. “Today the emergency committee met me and advised that according to the current situation there should be an international public health emergency.”
