In Kerala, 29 people returning from Britain have so far been found to be corona infected. The new strain of corona found in Britain has raised the concern of the whole world.
Kerala Health Minister KK Selja said on Wednesday that 29 people who recently returned to the state from Britain have been confirmed to be infected with corona virus.
The minister said that samples of people returned from Britain have been sent to the Pune-based National Institute of Virology for testing to confirm whether or not the new type of virus is in them.
He said that a total of 7,55,717 people have been confirmed to be infected in the state so far out of which 6,87,104 people have been freed from infection after treatment and 65,394 people are undergoing treatment. A total of 3,042 people have died in the state so far from Covid-19.
At present 2,47,725 persons have been kept under surveillance in various districts of the state out of which 12,116 are hospitalized.
