Journalism student Ambika Banerjee got a chance to become British Deputy High Commissioner for one day. On Friday, Ambika took over from Jeremy Pilmore Bedford. During this period, 24-year-old Ambika learned about diplomatic relations between Britain and India. Ambika got this opportunity due to the International Girl Child Day declared by the United Nations. The post of British Deputy High Commissioner which Ambika got for one day, is Britain’s third biggest post in India. Whose job is to solve the issues related to the country with the government and businessmen.
Ambika said, I had a plan for the whole, so the whole day was full of addicts. First met all the staff of the British Deputy High Commissioner office in Bangalore. Then we went to Tesco in Whitefield. There we also met Vidya Lakshmi, who is working for gender equality. Ambika said, I would not say that this is a matter of one day. This is a daily work. This is the whole process that I learned with them about how people work in these positions. What is the functioning of these offices.
