In the 1990s, Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon were one of Bollywood’s most popular on-screen couples. After almost 22 years, the duo is set to reunite in Welcome to the Jungle. During the film’s trailer launch, Akshay praised Raveena’s professionalism and shared an interesting memory from an old shoot.
He recalled that the team had to finish a scene before sunset, and since the green room was far away, Raveena quickly changed her costume inside a generator van to save time and returned to the set. Akshay said she has always been a dedicated artist.
He also joked about how times have changed, saying, “Earlier she was the heroine, and now she is the mother of a heroine.” Raveena’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, recently made her Bollywood debut with Azaad.
The pair worked together in hit films like Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, and Daava, and were also once engaged before ending their relationship in 1998. Akshay Kumar later married Twinkle Khanna in 2001, while Raveena Tandon married Anil Thadani in 2004.
