Michael Karim Malarkey was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on June 21, 1983. He is a British-American actor and musician by his profession. He is best known for his role in the famous supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries. In this, he played the role of Enzo.

He was born in Lebanon. He was taken to Jim Malarkey and Nadia Malarkey. His father, Jim Malarkey, was an Irish American. His mother, Nadia Malarkey, was British. She had her origins in Palestine and Italy. He has 2 brothers named Kevin Malarkey and Daniel Malarkey. Malarkey is the oldest brother of all three of them. His younger brother Kevin is also an actor.
He was raised in Yellow Springs, Ohio. In 2006, he moved to London. He studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
CAREER
He began his career on the London stage. He appeared in various theatre productions, including lead roles in Spring Storm and Beyond The Horizon at Royal National Theatre.
He has also played roles in several films and television projects, including his roles in the series Raw for Rte and Mr Solace with Neck Frost. Then he played Lorenzo ‘Enzo’ in the supernatural television drama series The Vampire Diaries. He had his role in Season 5 of the series. He lasted for Season 8 of the series after gaining the public’s attention.
In 2017, he acted as Dizel in Jean Claude Van Johnson for an Amazon Video. He served as Sam Foster in The Oath for Crackle. He further worked as Cinch Barton in the film A Violent Separation.
He also played a role for The History Channel. He played Captain Michael Karim Quinn in Project Blue Book.
As a musician, he released his debut after two Eps in 2104 and 2015. It was named Mongrels, and it was a full-length record. It was released on September 8 2017.
He released his second album in January 2020. It is named Graveracer.
