Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an Indian actress and model who works in Tamil and Telugu films. She has established a career in the Telugu film industry and is a recipient of several awards, including four Filmfare Awards.

Samantha was born on April 28, 1987, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to a Telugu father and a Tamil mother. She did her schooling in Chennai and completed a degree in commerce from Stella Maris College, Chennai. She then pursued a career in modeling and appeared in commercials.

Career:
Samantha made her acting debut in Gautham Menon’s 2010 romantic drama film, Ye Maaya Chesave, opposite Naga Chaitanya. The film was a commercial success and earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actress. She has since starred in successful films such as Eega, Attarintiki Daredi, Mersal, and Rangasthalam.
Samantha is married to actor Naga Chaitanya, with whom she worked on Ye Maaya Chesave. The couple got a divorce at 2021
