Police collect dead bodies scattered on track and sent for postmortem

JALAUN: While crossing the track at the Ait railway station, on Wednesday morning, a couple got hit by Lokmanya Tilak Express. Due to which he died. Police have collected the dead bodies of the couple scattered on the track and sent for postmortem. The couple were going to Kanpur to meet their son. But the mistake of crossing the track overshadowed his life. Family members have been informed in this regard.

Salim Haji, a resident of Konch town in Konch Kotwali area, arrived at Ait railway station on Wednesday morning with wife Quresha. Both were to go to Kanpur. Salim crossed the railway track with his wife to move from one platform to another to catch the train. Then both came in the grip of 12541 Lokmanya Tilak Express coming from Jhansi. Due to which the couple died.

The speed of the train was so high that pieces of his body were shattered by several meters. Everyone was shocked to see this. The station superintendent immediately informed the GRP police about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the case. It was told that the couple were going to Kanpur to meet their son and they were crossing the railway track waiting for the Intercity Express train. In which an accident occurred and both were died in an attempt to cross the track.
