Barmer, a district in Rajasthan has recently been in news for its frequent Tree plantation drives. Many youngsters from all walks of life came forward to plant trees in the sand bar.
Azad Singh Rathore, a social activist and a young leader is believed to be the main reason behind the sudden rise in tree plantation drives in the district. If the youngsters in the area are to be believed, Azad took all the accountability to encourage the youth to work towards a green society for all.
Under the “Hamari Vidhan Sabha, Harit Vidhan Sabha” program by Former Deputy Chief Minister and PCC Chief Sachin Pilot, Azad Singh ensured that Barmer performs the best. In the last 1 week, Singh went to dozens of villages and planted hundreds of saplings.
