Patna. On the lines of metro cities, now the pedestrians of Patna will also press the button and cross the road from Zebra Crossing. This new system has been implemented in Patna, so that the city’s pedestrians will no longer have trouble crossing the road. In the first phase, this arrangement has been done in such areas of Patna where the movement of vehicles along with people is the highest. Push button signal has been installed at Patna’s striking turn, Punechak and Gate No. 1 of Patna Zoo. With the help of this button, now pedestrians will be able to cross the road easily with zebra crossing.
Red light system was recently removed
In Patna, this new system has been launched by Anand Kishore, Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, named Push Button Pedestrian Signal. In Patna, this new arrangement has been done after removing the red light from many roads. Recently, traffic lights have been removed from Patna’s Saguna Fold to Income Tax, after which the speed of trains has increased.
How will the system work
Talking about push button system, under this, a pole of traffic signal has been installed on both sides of the road. It has been linked to the master control system. Along with this, one push button has been installed on both sides of the road. To avoid heavy traffic, people will have to suppress the push butt on the pillar to cross the road.
40 seconds will be available
After pressing the push button, the weight signal will burn and after 5 minutes the indicator will start to shown. Under this new system, the traffic signal will be green for the pedestrians for 40 seconds and the signal will be red for the vehicles passing through the road.
