Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Anand Sharma on Monday targeted the Central government over the new agricultural laws saying the prime minister and the government should leave their stubbornness and listen to the farmers.
He said that farmers are demonstrating against agricultural laws in the cold wave. He also said that the voice of the opposition in parliament was suppressed by the government while passing the law.
Anand Sharma said,The government should listen to the farmers. I would like to suggest to the Government and the Prime Minister to abandon their stubbornness. They should abolish these laws. These laws have been enacted in haste which has led to such a situation.
Earlier on Monday, Anand Sharma praised the centre and the state governments and said that the entire country stood together during the crisis. India has increased its infrastructure capacity and I would like to congratulate the Central and State Governments for working together.
