A 55-year-old man who accompanied farmers who traveled to Delhi to protest against farm laws has died. On Saturday night, he was sleeping in the car, while the car caught fire. He lost his life in the tragedy. The incident occurred near Bahadargarh.
Janak Raj, who works as a tractor repairman, came to Delhi to show solidarity with farmers from Punjab and to fix the tractor. Farmers’ organisations including Shiromani Akali Dal have condoled his death.
Officials said, Janak Raj, went to bed in the car after finishing his work late in the night. The car caught fire in which he burned alive. Janak Raj was a resident of Dhanolua village in Barnala district. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained so far.
