Recently, Bollywood film director Dushyant Pratap Singh reached Sri Lanka and discussed about the International Film Festival with the former President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa. During this, President’s wife Shiranthi Rajapaksa, Sri Lanka’s famous singer and musician Sujeewa Priyanath Ratnayaka, Sri Lanka’s famous film producer Dr. Isuru Bandara were present. Director Dushyant gave information about this by tweet.
During this conversation, President Mahinda Rajapaksa exuded confidence in Dushyant Pratap Singh and said that his plan for the International Film Festival will be successful in giving world-class recognition to the artists of Sri Lanka and India. Sri Lanka is all set for this festival.
Talking to the media, Dushyant Pratap Singh said that “Sri Lanka’s natural beauty, art, culture and good nature of the people draw them here. Sri Lankan Excellency has given us the green signal for the upcoming international film festival, which is a matter of pride for us. The upcoming International Film Festival is going to conclude in February 2023, which will include films from more than 16 countries across the world.
During this meeting, along with the International Film Festival, there was also a discussion about the holy Ramayana related to India and Sri Lanka, where Ramayana will be shown again to the audience, giving the form of a grand film. Isuru Bandara said that India and Sri Lanka have maintained good relations since ancient times. This film festival conducted by director Dushyant and the upcoming Ramayana film scheme will make this relationship even stronger.
Expressing his views, Sri Lanka’s famous singer and musician Sujeewa Priyanath Ratnayaka said that performing arts and culture at international level is a matter of pride for all countries including Sri Lanka. This plan of Dushyant Pratap Singh will strengthen the Sri Lankan artists to get international recognition.
