Before the assembly elections in Delhi, the Modi government has made a big announcement. The Modi government on Wednesday decided to regularize illegal colonies in Delhi. The proposal was approved in the Union Cabinet meeting. It was announced by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
There is big news of relief for the people living in irregular colonies in Delhi.This decision of the central government will give relief to 40 lakh people of Delhi, in 2015 the proposal of the Center was sent to legalize illegal colonies.
Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the Central and Delhi governments would work together to legalize the colonies and the residents of the colonies would get their rights. Arvind Kejriwal said that the Delhi government has also prepared a blue print to regularize the colonies.
1797 colonies are divided into three categories, these colonies are built on government land. Recently, Kejriwal government decided to legalize about 1797 unauthorized colonies of Delhi. About 4lakh people live in these colonies
