Glacier fell from the hill of Jaborang and Rashil village in the Pattan area of Lahaul Valley tribal district of Himachal Pradesh causing panic in the people.
The incident occurred on Monday morning. Some people of the village have also made a video of the falling glacier.
The glacier debris came down from the hill causing fear among the locals, however the glacier could not come towards the village below.
The debris of the glacier can be seen in the fields of Jobrang and Rashil village. This has not caused any loss of life or property but local people have definitely come to panic due to such incidents.
This is not the first time a glacier has fallen near the villages of Lahaul. In Lahaul Valley last year too there were cases of glacier falling in many places, due to which many houses were also damaged. For this reason people are also afraid to move out of their homes.
