Mumbai: Officials said a fire broke out in a bungalow in Mumbai suburb Bandra in the early hours of Saturday. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) immediately responded to a distress call in the early hours of May 11 reporting a fire at Narang Bungalow, located on Zig Zag Road in Pali Hill, Bandra West. Officials said the fire was classified as an L-1 fire. MFB started fire fighters operations as soon as it arrived at 01:22 am, allocating resources to extinguish the fire. The first, second, and third floors were the main areas where the fire in the bungalow property was brought under control. The total area affected by the fire was approximately 50 feet by 100 feet.
Preliminary investigation by MFB has revealed that the fire caused maximum damage to the false ceiling, AC outdoor units, hardwood furniture, household items, LPG gas cylinders and electrical wires in the interiors of the bungalow. Despite the seriousness of the situation, fire brigade personnel took prompt action and the fire was brought under control by 5:00 am. No injuries were recorded as a result of this incident. Although an investigation is underway to identify the primary source of the fire, officials are still evaluating the level of damage caused by the fire.
