Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan hoped that if all goes well, India will acquire the Corona vaccine by the end of this year. He said this on a question related to the corona vaccine.
He tweeted that three institutions in the country are working in this direction. Among these, the trial of one institution is in the first phase while the other is in the second phase. While the third institute is in Phase III clinical trials.
He also said that India is in a better position than the world. Corona patients in the country are now recovering rapidly and our national recovery rate has reached close to 75%, while the death rate is the lowest in the world at 1.87%.
Corona infection cases are increasing rapidly across the country. Every day 60 to 70 thousand new cases are coming here. The situation is getting worse in the states and in some states, including Maharashtra, more than ten thousand cases are being reported in a day.
On Saturday, 14,492 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Maharashtra. This is the highest number of cases reported in a day and an equal number of new cases were reported two days ago. A Health Department official said that along with the cases reported today, the total number of Kovid-19 cases in the state has gone up to 6,71,942. He said that apart from this, 297 more people died due to the epidemic, which has increased the death toll to 21,995.
On August 20, 14,492 cases of infection were reported in the state and even today there are similar cases. This is the highest number of cases reported so far in a day. There are currently 1,69,516 patients undergoing treatment in Maharashtra and 4,80,114 people have been discharged after recovery.
More than 10,000 new cases of infection a day in Andhra Pradesh
In Andhra Pradesh, more than 10,000 cases of corona infection occurred in one day after a gap of 13 days. Due to this, the total number of infections on Saturday increased to 3,45,216. More than thousand cases of infection were reported in four districts of the state, resulting in 10,276 new cases of covid-19 infection in the state.
Apart from this, 97 more people died from covid-19 in the last twenty-four hours till 9 am on Saturday morning. So far 3,189 covid-19 patients have died in the state. In the last twenty-four hours, 8,593 patients of covid-19 were cured. The state is currently undergoing treatment for 89,389 patients and so far 2,52,638 patients have been cured.
Maximum 1226 new cases a day in Madhya Pradesh
On Saturday, 1226 new cases of covid-19 infection were reported in Madhya Pradesh. With this, the number of people infected with this virus in the state has now increased to 51,866. Apart from this, 21 more people have died due to this disease in the state in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 1,206.
A health officer of the state said, ‘During the last 24 hours, four in Bhopal, three in Indore and Gwalior, two in Betul and Alirajpur, Barwani, Damoh, Jabalpur, Khargone, Sagar, Sehore, Shivpuri due to corona infection in the state. And one person has died in Vidisha. ‘He said,’ Indore has the highest number of deaths due to corona virus in the state at 356 so far. 259 people have died in Bhopal, 76 in Ujjain, 45 in Sagar, 60 in Jabalpur, 31 in Gwalior, 25 in Burhanpur, 21 in Khandwa and 25 in Khargone. The remaining deaths have taken place in other districts. ‘
The official said that the maximum number of 181 new cases of Kovid-19 in the state on Saturday came in Indore district, 135 in Bhopal, 159 in Gwalior, 48 in Betul, 39 in Khargone and 111 new cases in Jabalpur.
Corona infection cases increased to 119909 in Bihar
In Bihar, 13 more people have died due to infection during the last 24 hours. After this, the death toll from this epidemic increased to 601 on Saturday while the number of infected people increased to 119909.
According to the Health Department, during the last 24 hours in Bihar, six people have died due to corona virus infection in Bhagalpur, three in Muzaffarpur and two each in Sitamarhi and Vaishali districts. Due to this, the number of people who got infected by this disease increased to 601 on Saturday.
5,980 new cases of infection in Tamil Nadu, 80 deaths
On Saturday, 5,980 new cases of covid-19 were reported in Tamil Nadu. After this, the total infection cases in the state increased to 3,73,410. At the same time, the death toll also increased to 6,420 with the death of 80 infected people.
