The chief pro of North Bengal Frontier BSF has reported that the Border Security Force (BSF) of North Bengal Frontier has stepped up vigilance on the border to check smuggling and illegal infiltration.
A statement issued by bsf on Tuesday said that between 11th and 15th December, BSF Jawans seized 1745 bottles of phensidil, 124 cattle, 21 kg of ganja and other banned items by conducting special anti-smuggling operations in their border areas. The total value of the seized goods is Rs.24,99,243.
The Jawans today apprehended a Bangladeshi national Mohammad Mustafa (33) on the international border with four cattle. He was handed over to the Police. A woman named Rasida Rani (28) who had inadvertently crossed the Bangladesh border has been handed over to Bangladesh authorities due to goodwill.
