According to a report in The Times of India, Indian businessman Anil Ambani, who was in debt, has told a London court that he is living a normal life these days, he only has a car and sells jewelry to pay the lawyers fees.
He has told the court that between January and June 2020, he has received Rs 9.9 crore in lieu of jewelry and now he does not have anything that has any value.
When asked about his cars, he said that he never owned a Rolls Royce car and he only drives in one car.
The British High Court, in an order passed on 22 May 2020, asked Ambani to pay Rs 5281 crore of debt to Chinese banks by June 12, and was also asked to pay Rs 7 crore of legal fees to banks.
