Scaler AI and Business UG Program: The new undergraduate degree program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business launched by Scaler School of Technology represents an important new addition to India’s Higher Education System. This four-year residential program has been specifically designed to help prepare students to thrive in this rapidly-evolving environment by preparing them for careers in product development, entrepreneurship, and the use of AI. As the first undergraduate degree program to formally integrate studying AI with developing a startup as a part of the degree requirements, this initiative is designed to develop the next generation of founders and leaders in technology from early on through their educational experience.
Anshuman Singh, ex-Messenger engineering team leader at Facebook, was quoted as saying that AI has fundamentally changed the way companies are built. By using advanced technologies, people can now create functioning products months faster than they could prior to the development of AI. He believes that modern education must include more than just theory and simulations; students should be encouraged to identify and solve real problems, participate in discussions with customers/users, and take ownership of the final product or service, thereby developing both their technical depth and entrepreneurial perspective in the process.
The curriculum is established on the basis of building first and then building progressively through two years of strong foundational development in programming, mathematics for artificial intelligence (AI), economics, and communication through practical project implementation.
In Year Two, students will be introduced to continuous production systems and models for AI as well as market entry strategies. In Year Three, students will work with early-stage ventures through the Scaler Innovation Lab, with a focus on product strategy and measurability of growth. By the time they reach their Fourth year, students will operate as “founders” and are required to launch and build their own AI-driven start-up company as a requirement for obtaining a degree.

Additionally, the program benefits from relationships with industry mentors, funding sources, and employment opportunities. Students have access to subject matter experts/mentors from companies such as OpenAI, DeepMind, NVIDIA and Razorpay. All students have access to Scaler’s placement network of companies, which includes major employers such as Amazon and Microsoft. Early cohorts of the program have experienced significant revenue success and have received innovation grants, with capped admissions of 200 students. Therefore, Scaler is dedicated to creating a new generation of AI-driven Founders and Professionals Ready for Industry.
