On 9 February, Narsee Monjee Finance and Investment Cell marked a significant milestone through Project Pragati, world’s largest investment awareness drive for women. The campaign reached more than 6,200 participants across 120 venues in Mumbai, with the support of over 300 student volunteers. The achievement has been formally recognised by the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.
The initiative was presented by LXME, powered by Life Insurance Corporation of India, and supported by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. It was implemented by students of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, who conducted structured financial literacy sessions at schools, community venues, and offices of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
The sessions focused on practical financial knowledge, including saving habits, investment planning, and government schemes designed for women, with the broader aim of strengthening long-term financial independence. As part of the outreach, food packets were distributed to BMC women, job opportunities were also availed for them as part of the outreach effort.
The initiative highlights the growing impact of youth-driven efforts in creating meaningful social change and advancing women’s economic empowerment.
