Ayushmann Khurana is an Indian film actor and singer and television host who works in Hindi Films. He has hosted for Star Plus, colors Tv, and MTV. He is the recipient of several awards and was on the Forbes List of most influential people of the year. He composes his songs and has also played them in his movies like “Pani da Rang “
Early Life :
His original name was Nishant Khurrana, his parents P.khurrana and poonam changed his name to Ayushmann when he was 3 year old.
He was a part of Guru Nanak Khalsa College. He studied at St. John’s High School, Chandigarh and DAV College, Chandigarh. He majored in English literature and has a master’s degree in Mass Communication from the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University.
He has done several plays and threatre in Gaiety Threatre, Shimla. He was also founder of several active plays group.He also won a Best Actor award for playing Ashwatthama in Dharamvir Bharati’s Andha Yug.
Career
He started his career as a Radio Jockey in Big FM,Delhiwhere He hosted the show Big Chai – Maan Na Maan, Main Tera Ayushmann and also won the Young Achievers Award in 2007 for it. He was the youngest recipient of the Bharat Nirman Award in New Delhi.
His first debut as a actor was in Shoojit Sircar’s romantic comedy Vicky Donor,which was production debut for John Abhram .The film was box office hit which awarded him with Best male debut actor and Bestmale Playback Singer Award .
Two years later after giving poor successful films ,he acted in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, both of which were commercially successful.
And with Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho ,both movies where highest grossers in Indian cinema and Ayushmann was awarded National Film Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.[54][55]
The series of huge successful and blockbuster films continued with Khurrana’s 2019 releases and 2022 his films were underperformed.
Personal Life :
Khurrana is known for being very close to his family and wife, Tahira Kashyap, who has directed a critically acclaimed film Toffee. They are childhood friends and parents to a son and a daughter. Both Ayushmann and Tahira are followers of Nichiren Buddhism, helping them get through Tahira’s cancer diagnosis
His father is a astrologer and his mother ,housemaker ,who is half-Burmesse.
His brother Aparshakti Khurana made his debut with Dangal in 2016.
