Rani Chatterjee was born ‘Sahiba Sheikh’ on 3 November 1989 in Mumbai. Her Zodiac sign is Scorpio.
She did her schooling at Tungareshwar Academy High School, Vasai, Maharashtra. She pursued her graduation from the University of Mumbai, Mumbai. She was raised and got training in acting in Mumbai.
She belongs to a Muslim Family. Her mother’s name is Gulzaar Sheikh.
She has a sister named Shabnam Sheikh, and her brother’s name is Sameer Sheikh.

CAREER :
Rani Chatterjee made her debut with the 2004 Bhojpuri film “Sasura Bada Paisawala” alongside Manoj Tiwari.
She has acted in several hit movies like Bandhan Toote Na, Damaad Ji, Sita, Devra Bada Satawela (2010), and Rani No. 786 (2013). She is also famous for her role in Nagin (2015). She made her singing debut in the movie ‘Raja Weds Rani with the songs “Ka Ho Ka Haal Chaal Ba” and “Chala Long Drive Pe.”
PERSONAL LIFE :
On 25 January 2022, she took to social media to announce that she had joined the Indian National Congress; her joining the Congress came in the wake of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly election.
The actress is very close to her family and shares amazing pictures with them on her Instagram account. She has two nieces Nazeeha and Shazana to whom she loves a lot and shares cute images with them on her profile. She has made her family proud by being one of the most popular actresses of the Bhojpuri cinema
In 2003, while studying in class 10th, Rani got her first offer to act in a film in her career.
She started her acting career in 2004 with the role of ‘Rani’ in the Bhojpuri film- ‘Sasura Bada Paisawala.’
While shooting for her first film, she got the name “Rani” from the film’s director, Ajay Sinha to hide her Muslim identity; as in many scenes of the film, she had to shoot in the temple of Lord Shiva.
In 2013, she was declared the Best Actress of the year at the 6th Bhojpuri Awards for her performance in the Bhojpuri film, Nagin.
In 2017, she won the Best Actress Award at Dada Saheb Phalke Foundation.
Rani has acted in more than 300 films (as of 2019).
