Mahesh Bhatt had made two films with Shahrukh Khan “Chaahat” and “Duplicate” which flopped. Recently in an interview Mahesh Bhatt called Shahrukh Khan a great person and said that even after two films flopped, his attitude towards me did not change. Let’s know what is the whole matter, Mahesh Bhatt praised Shahrukh Khan and said: It takes a king and a gentleman to treat a person who has not given any hit film. Our relationship is commercial. There is a give and take here.
When a director gives a flop film with a star, often the attitude of the star changes. Despite failure, a different kind of nature is needed to maintain the respect you have for a person. Because of this it shows what kind of or how good a person he (Shahrukh) is.’
The filmmaker further says that bad films are also made with the same passion as good films.
This is not the first time that Mahesh Bhatt has praised Shah Rukh Khan. Some time back, he had said in an interview, ‘He (Shahrukh) is a great man. He is a great human being.’
Farida Jalal: Shah Rukh Khan is very energetic
