Shahid gave advice to change the title
Imtiaz Ali had come as a guest in an interview. Here it was mentioned that Shahid had suggested Imtiaz to change the title of the movie Jab We Met. Actually, initially the title of the movie was Geet. Shahid said that no hero would agree to work in a movie with the title of the heroine’s name.
I should not fix my fees
Imtiaz also said laughingly- I remember that incident. Shahid has guided me a lot. He told me an important thing, which I never forget and always thank him for this. Shahid had told me that Jaw We Met has done well. So I should not fix the fee for my next film.
Imtiaz further says – I then asked him (Shahid Kapoor) if I can ask for lakhs of rupees after this film. On this Shahid had said – Maybe, you will get double the amount and who knows maybe you will get 1 crore rupees. Because of this you should not fix your fee.’
Shahid thought people will fool me
Imtiaz also told – Shahid had told me that before signing the next film I must tell him. Maybe he thought that I am a fool. People will fool me, so Shahid is like my guide.
